Forty Brazilian entrepreneurs from the state of Rondonia will visit the south of Peru next week to strengthen business ties with their Peruvian counterparts.
According to information provided by Puno’s Chamber of Commerce and Production, this group of entrepreneurs will arrive in the altiplano city of Puno accompanied by five Brazilian authorities on May 15.
In Puno, they will meet with representatives of local small and medium-sized enterprises with the aim of exploring significant business opportunities and forging strategic alliances in different industrial sectors.
The foreign delegation will also visit the southern cities of Puerto Maldonado in Madre de Dios region; Arequipa and Matarani (Arequipa); Ilo (Moquegua) and Tacna, among others.
Rondonia’s Governor Ivo Narciso Cassol said Brazilian entrepreneurs have expressed interest in investing in Peru’s different sectors.
The decision of visiting Peru’s main southern cities was taken after the meeting of Peru’s President Alan Garcia and Brazil’s Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at the Business Forum held in Acre, Brazil.
